Recycled
Timber
Nullarbor will continue to search for and acquire as many recycled
timbers that Australian demolition sites offer. We will demand
careful salvage of these products to maximize the potential
for re-processing and will encourage and educate the demolition
industry to understand the negative impact on outdated, destructive
demolition practices. Nullarbor asks potential clients to consider
a recycled alternative wherever possible, keeping in mind flexibility
of species and sizes. We will assist consumers to avoid ‘size
specific’ and ‘species specific’ criteria
to maximise the ‘recycled timber’ options and limit
the energy required for re-processing along with limiting any
waste product.
Nullarbor is directly responsible for the salvage of several
thousand cubic meters of Recycled Native Timbers. Put
simply - many of the timbers are virtually impossible to find
elsewhere! |

Agri-Forestry
Nullarbor acquire new harvest timbers from accredited harvest
sites only, dealing solely with responsible contractors and
mills that follow the strictest of private forest management
practices. Nullarbor will maximise the recoverable timbers from
each log by processing a wide range of products and sizes from
various species. We process these timbers to their highest potential
value in order to maximise and sustain a viable industry without
placing unrealistic demands on our resources and ask the consumer
to only demand products that are currently in the system. |

Clearing
Salvage
Timbers are acquired from diverse sources Australia wide and
have been harvested for reasons other than raw timber demand.
They range from domestic tree felling, farmland clearing, bush
fire affected and fire break land clearing. These timbers make
up a huge portion of our current stock pile that without demand
may have found their way to a wood chipper, land fill, landscaping
or even fire wood. Permits and regulation are generally required
for these timbers to be removed. |
Renewable
Projects
Nullarbor are committed to making substantial annual donations
to community groups for the planting of replacement trees. |
