With over 3,500 m3 of stock, Nullarbor Sustainable Timber are Australia’s proudest supplier of seasoned recycled and sustainable hardwoods and have been for over three decades. Recycled and sustainable timbers are naturally cured and provide excellent stability, amazing characteristics, unique sizes and beautiful colours for all projects large and small. When you invest in recycled timbers you’re making the eco-friendly choice. Recycled Timber is not only environmentally friendly - it comes with a history and a story to tell. We have timber in our yard that dates back over 100 years and has been collected nationwide. Such timbers have stood the test of time through Australia’s harsh weather conditions and possess amazing durability and strength. It is Nullarbor Timber’s mission to ensure that these magnificent timbers are not wasted, discarded or devalued in any way. TIMBER DECKING

Timber Decking is a unique way to introduce personality and warmth to your home, garden or outdoor entertaining area. It can be the greatest addition to almost any Australian home or business by increasing your usable outdoor living space to provide a practical, functional, outdoor room where you can enjoy entertaining all year long. Nullarbor stock a wide range of durable hardwood timbers that are suitable for all decking projects from small residential areas right up to large commercial projects. Nullarbor Timber offers different profiles including square edge, pencil round and raised edged. Sizes can vary from 85mm to 130mm in timber species such Spotted Gum, Ironbark and Stringybark. We also offer the option of pre-oiling your decking on all 4 sides to increase its durability for the harsh Australian weather conditions. |
TIMBER CLADDING & LINING

Timber Cladding has become one of the most appealing and popular materials utilized by architects and designers today. This is due to its ability to make any foundation seem timeless and its potential to give a traditional yet modern feel to your project. There can be little doubt that our timber cladding is extremely popular, versatile, durable and sustainable providing consumers with a great alternative option to concrete, bricks or steel. Radiating a feeling of warmth, comfort, and class, timber cladding is an ideal embellishment to an already established foundation of stone, metal or glass. Nullarbor specialises in both External Class 1 Shiplap Cladding (timbers such as Spotted Gum and Ironbark) and Internal Timber Cladding (any sustainable or recycled species). Our standard profile selections include Shiplap Tongue & Groove, V-Joint Cladding Boards and Standard Tongue & Groove Cladding. Nullarbor Timber's cladding boards are precision machined with the latest milling technology which enable the timber to be end matched. End matching is the process where a tongue and groove joint is provided at the ends of the boards, allowing an end join between batons. This eliminates wastage and reduces the total cost by up to 15%. Nullarbor Timber also offer a pre-oiling service which coats the timber on all four sides prior to installation to increase the durability and performance of the timber. Nullarbor Timber pride themselves on producing timber floors that are unique. We love to pull down old buildings and re-mill old joist and beams into an extremely rare and personalised timber floors. Nullarbor Timber understands that timber is unlike any other surface and can sometimes be confusing to specify due to the enormous range of species, sizes and grades available, however with our trained staff and experience, we will assist you every step of the way by taking into consideration your lifestyle and the feel and fit of your home or office. Every parcel of flooring produced at Nullarbor passes through a series of quality control checks to ensure that all timber dispatched meets the required grades for grain quality, profile accuracy and moisture content. Our flooring is processed with a secret nail tongue & groove profile and end matched to enable easy installation. We regularly acquire recycled timber from a variety of sources. Nullarbor Timber pride themselves on the fact that they hold one of the largest stock piles of structural and architectural timbers available in Australia. Simply put many timbers in our yard are virtually impossible to get elsewhere. Our extensive range of structural timbers have been salvaged from bridges, wharves, shearing sheds, wool stores and the like. Imagine having a piece of Australian history within your own home or commercial premises that once held up Melbourne’s Docklands or the Port Adelaide Wool Store for more than 100 years. Architects and homeowners continue to source recycled and sustainable (new) timbers from Nullarbor Timber for solid timber bench tops, bar tops and tables. Having manufactured thousands of timber tops and solid timber tables for both commercial and private customers Australia wide, Nullarbor Timber continue to produce a high quality specialised product. Nullarbor Timber tables are completely unique and are made from very rare pieces of timber. Never will you find the same table build twice. We pride ourselves on producing a unique table that you won’t be able to find anywhere else. All tables can be built to your design. You tell us what you want and we will build it. Bench Tops
Laminated timber bench tops allow the customer to utilise a greater selection of new and recycled timbers that are not available in single timber slabs. With narrow timber laminations, boards may vary in size from 75mm to 130mm while wide board variations can range from 130mm to 250mm. Some of the more interesting parcels of recycled timber tops include:
All bench tops are finger joined using a two part clear resin and are generally left oversized (about 100mm over length and 5mm over width), unless otherwise stated in the quotation. In relation to sanding, all timber bench tops are again filled with a clear resin before going through a drum sander and finished at a thickness of 38mm - 42mm (or thinner). They are then finished by hand with an orbital sander to 180# before being coated. |

The largest collection of seasoned slabs in the entire world. Timber Slabs can be supplied as a rough sawn product for your own joinery project or worked into a magnificent dining table or bench top from our state of the art joinery. One piece timber slabs can be acquired in lengths of up to 6.0m long by 1.3m wide. All Slabs have been sourced from dead and wind-felled trees as well as collected from locations that have been cleared for commercial reasons.
